today's dance class

Abbie has been loving her weekly dance class - and it is pure entertainment for me too. The little girlies are so darling and hilarious to watch. They have been doing some really cute dances during the month of October where they have broomsticks and witches hats - love it. quick funny story. A few weeks ago the teacher was having the girls do a dance where she has them dance like they are happy, sad, mad, silly, etc. (and the music changes accordingly) I was sitting out in the waiting area and I heard the teacher tell the girls to dance like they're mad and she asked "have you ever been mad?" and i hear abbie's little voice say "my mama gets mad!"

Conversations with Abigail

Our Abbie is a talker - the girl talks from the moment she gets up to the moment she goes to bed. She is in that phase where she says really random yet sincere and honest things...

a few days ago:
A(bigail): i love you dad
D(ad): i love you too Abbie. who else do you love?
A: i love mama and baby sister. i am going to teach my baby sister how to dance
(oh yeah btw, we're having another girl)

tonight when i got home from the gym:
A: did the gym make you happy mama?
M(om): yes, it did
A: oh i am so excited for you (with a big hug for me)

tonight while i was getting her dressed in her jammies:
A: mama, you have a big belly
M: oh - thanks Abbie
A: you're welcome (with a giggle)

yesterday:
A: (pointing at my stomach) that's a baby brother
M: No sweetie, it's a baby sister
A: well, we need some more then

a few days ago while jumping on the trampoline:
M: blah blah
A: you hear that sound mama?
M: what sound?
A: imitating the sound - blah blah
M: maybe it came from over there (pointing in the opposite direction)
A: looks the other way
M: blah blah
A: turns around to face me - oh, mama - you make me laugh

Our little girl really is pure entertainment (exhausting, but entertaining) we love her and think she's going to be the best big sister!

Labor Day

We spent Labor Day weekend up at the Caldwell's cabin. It was great! The weather was cool and Abbie had so much fun going for four-wheeler rides, playing on the swing set and throwing rocks in the lake. We wish we lived closer so we could get up there more often!four-wheeler ride with uncle Garett

too big too fast

My baby girl is sleeping in her new BIG GIRL bed tonight. how did this happen? how did she get to be a big girl? It is so exciting to watch her grow up and experience things, but it was bitter sweet to haul out the crib/toddler bed and haul in the twin size mattress that seems so HUGE compared to my little big girl.before bed.

My little Dancer

Abbie started a dance class 2 weeks ago. She's in a pre-ballet/tap class and i'm pretty sure it's the highlight of her week :) I know it sounds silly, but I was such a proud mom taking her into Pat's Dancewear (where I grew up getting my ballet attire) and getting her fitted for her first ballet shoes and leotards. Her class only has 5 girls in it and they are extremely entertaining to watch ... can't wait for her recitals!Before her first day of classTip toeing around the chair

Long time coming....

We took a trip to the Oregon Coast last month and had such a great time. Abbie LOVED the ocean (even though it was freezing) We had a wonderful time with family, we didn't want to come home!
