Five for Friday

1. I'm quite embarassed to admit that i am a "Bachelorette" viewer. I know it's smut, but i find it entertaining. Anyway, this past week Graham got sent home and it was so sad. He was my favorite pick, and it is still bothering me. Oh well - i think i'll survive :)

2. Abbie and i spent an hour or so playing in the shade the other day. She loves being outside. She even had her first taste of grass, yes abbie licked grass. We had a photo shoot and i got some good smiles out of her. I think we'll definitely be spening lots of time outside this summer!

3. Clark and i have been playing "ticket to ride" a lot lately. it's such a fun game - for all those who have not played you must. Abbie goes to bed around 6:30 or 7 so we have been enjoying our evenings together
4. I finally went back to visit the people i used to work at The Boyer Company - it was so good to see them and it was fun to show off my darling daughter. I miss the people i worked with a lot, but i wouldn't trade my new job for the world! On our visit to The Boyer Company we did some major shopping at the Gateway - Abbie enjoyed shopping with her Grandma and Aunt Chelsie. She wore this darling hat to keep the sunshine off her baby skin.

5. I recently discovered a new favorite snack (thank you Caldwells) ... it's this glorious popped corn, not popcorn or corn nuts, but a fantastic mixture of the two - apparently they can only be found at gas stations ... i recommend you trying them.

Five for Friday on a Saturday .... ummm on a Sunday

How pathetic am I ... it's only my second week doing "five for Friday" and it's Saturday. Struggle. Now i'm majorly pathetic - i started this post saturday and it's now sunday evening. yikes - this might be more difficult than i thought.

1. Abbie had her first outdoor swim experience on Thursday. Ali and I took our little ones to the pool in my Mom's neighborhood. Abbie absolutely loved it. she loved to splash and kick her legs, I think we have a future swimmer on our hands. Although I think she was embarrassed of her mother - I made her wear a tshirt over her swim suit :)

2. Grandpa Anderson bought a new motorcycle and Abbie got to sit on it for a bit - it will be QUITE some time before she will be going for a ride (if ever). It's a super nice bike -we're excited for his new toy.

3. Abbie had her first hot tubbing experience this last week as well (it was a week of firsts for this girl i guess) She sported her new swim suit and Grandpa dipped her toes in - she loved it and can't wait til she can go for a soak.

4. My cute sister Tara is going to Jerusalem for Summer Term ... she leaves this Tuesday! We are so excited for her and are going to miss her lots. Her and Abbie had a photo shoot yesterdaty afternoon while we were doing Tara's laundry and helping her get ready to go. Abigail is going to miss you Tara! Enjoy the Holy Land and live it up.

5. Clark recently started a new job as a Salesman for Advanced Hardware. He is really enjoying it and I haven't seen him this excited about work in a long time. Hooray for the new job. Although Abbie doesn't get to see him some days because she gets up after he leaves and is in bed before he gets home, we are glad that he is happy with the change.

Five for Friday

My fabulous sister does "Ten for Tuesday" on her blog - she writes 10 things that are going on in their life for the week and i think it's a darling idea. So, in an effort to not completely copy her i'm going to attempt "Five for Friday" (so original i know)

1. Abbie and I spent a few hours in Utah County today - It's Art City Days in Springville and we went to enjoy the fun with My sister Ali and her little guy Spencer. We walked through the little booths (full of random junk), but we did find a steal or two. I bought Abigail a cute new headband and Ali found Spencer a hat. We had to share a scone and sit in the shade to chat. It was fun to watch the locals and let the kids enjoy the outdoors. (Sorry Caldwells that i did not come visit - it was a short trip in which traveling time was based upon Abbie's naps). I would post a photo, but I totally forgot my camera...
2. I recently chopped my hair off! Clark begged me not to, what is it with men and long hair? Despite his efforts I kept my appointment and got my "bob" back - i like it, minus the fact that I actually have to DO my hair now - it's good for me :)
3. I must say I was extremely saddened to hear that Tim Russert passed away today. He was such a great political journalist and I watched a lot of him during the first few months after I had Abbie. What a tragedy for his family and for the news world.
4. I watched Kenny Chesney perform on the Today Show this morning. He keeps winning "entertainer of the year" ... is he really that great of a performer? Based on this morning's performances I'd have to say NO.
5. Grandpa Anderson has a book club for his grandkids and when Abigail and I went to the mailbox this afternoon she had a package from him. The latest addition to her book collection is "B is for Bear" - it's a darling touch and feel alphabet book - she loves it! thanks Grandpa.

Well there's my first attempt at "Five for Friday" we'll see if I can keep it up

FIVE MONTHS OLD!

I can't believe Abigail is 5 months old today. People always say "they grow up so fast" - i guess it's true. It's crazy how much she has changed in the last 5 months - going from doing not much more than eating and sleeping to being a rolling, sitting, drooling, giggling, grabbing, bouncing, sleeping (thru the night i might add) little character. She is so much fun - we love our little 5 monther! Here are 5 pictures of abbie - one from each of her first five months...

Monkey Business

We have so many nicknames for our little Abigail (we're sure she'll be super confused about what her real name is) - one of the names we constantly use is "Monkey". She's our little monkey and Grandma Anderson made her a darling Monkey blanket to go along with her name. She loves the blankie - THANKS GRANDMA!

We took these pictures before her bath tonight - what a cute little Monkey

Yummy Yummy Yummy she's got food in her Tummy...

We started Abigail on rice cereal a few nights ago and she absolutely loves it. Her favorite thing is to help hold the spoon - which usually results in a very messy meal time! We are enjoying this new phase of her life and cannot believe how big she's getting!
