Grandparents trump parents

This past Saturday Abbie got to have a sleep over at Grandma & Grandpa's house and Clark and I had a little getaway up to the Zermatt in Heber City. It was so much fun to have some time with Clark ... It was our first getaway from our Abigail since she was born (wow, huh?) It was actually really weird not to have her with us, but she had a BLAST with her Grandparents - and when we went to pick her up on Sunday afternoon she did NOT want to come with us. how sad is that?
We didn't take any pictures the entire weekend - but here are a few of abbie the last little while.

Grateful

Today I am grateful for this person:
I was taking pictures of her and every time I'd take one she'd run over to me and sit in my lap to look at the camera and then I'd show her the picture and she'd run back and let me take another picture and then she'd be back in my lap looking at the most recent shot :) she makes me smile.

zoo. ducks. popsicles.

We have definitely been taking advantage of the sunshine! A few days ago we took a trip to the zoo and Abbie was in heaven... Those who know Abigail know that she DOES NOT STOP. She is constantly moving and discovering - which was the case at the zoo, but when we'd stop in front of an animal (specifically the elephants and the penguins) she would just stop and stare. She was completely fascinated and i LOVED watching her.
Today we went to a park near our house to feed the ducks :) She was interested in the ducks, but only until she saw the playground and she went straight for it... what is the deal with mean kids on the playground? These boys were playing on the slides and for some reason they thought they owned the place. grrrr! drives me crazychasing seagullsWith sunshine comes popcicles :) Abbie shared one with Grandpa this afternoon, and when I say "shared" i mean ate most of it and maybe gave him a few bites :)

Busy Week...

We had a super busy/FUN week last week.
these 2 got married - CONGRATS!
And after the wedding the Honeymooners headed off to Cancun (aka Swine Flu country) and the rest of us spent the weekend in Park City (aka Swine Flu country). We had such a great time! Abbie loved all the time with her cousins and now that we're home she's wondering why I'm the only one around :)
I cannot believe how fast Abbie is growing up - we no longer have a baby! she is a busy busy toddler :)
