3. Thursday we celebrated my sister Tara's birthday -- hooray! she is actually in Jerusalem studying, but we threw a party anyway :) We had a pool party with yummy hamburgers and hot dogs and DELICIOUS rice krispie treats (thank you aunt LeAnne). Abbie loves to swim and she especially enjoyed splashing with her daddy - Happy Birthday Tara! thanks for giving us reason to party!!! we're so excited to see you in a few weeks.

Five for Friday (finally on an actual friday)
1. We went to visit Ali and Spencer last Friday - it was so much fun to watch the little monkeys play. Abbie absolutely adores Spencer and he likes to pat her on the head :) they are hilarious together chit chatting in their own language (more like constant squeals)... We visited them again today for a bit - it was kind of a wild goose chase to american fork and then to springville and then back to american fork ... but we did find some good deals at Kohl's which made the chasing around worth it.
2. Tuesday we celebrated my Mom's birthday -- hooray! Abbie and I went and did some shopping at the Gateway to help her celebrate. I know it's late, but happy happy birthday mom - i think you are absolutely fabulous.
4. We finally bought Abbie a high chair. We've been putting it off because we have SO much baby gear throughout the house we're running out of space to stash stuff, but we finally put her swing away (so sad) and juggled some things around and made room for the new addition. Abbie likes it and i do too...
5. As previously mentioned (see #1) we made a trek down to Utah County today, which was great, but the drive home was a nightmare... well i guess i should say the drive from Bountiful to Farmington was a NIGHTMARE! abbie slept until bountiful and that's about when we hit major (lame, stupid, grrrrr, frustrating, obnoxious, out of hand, did i mention grrrr) traffic. abbie started flipping out, which she deserved to do (seeing as she'd been in the car most of the day and 2 hours the day before) i tried feeding her some dinner while we were at a stand still on the frontage road and she continued flipping out (and spitting her sweet potatoes at me). My mom decided to take things into her own hands and we pulled off on a side road to give abbie a break from the horrifying drive. We had a little picnic in the bed of the truck! abbie really appreciated the breather as did we. I must say the traffic was still nasty when we got back on the road, but abbie was a lot happier... struggles i know
