bedtime laughter

Tonight when i put Abbie to bed we were reading a story and i was having her point out all of the animals on the page. At first she would point to the right animal, but eventually she started pointing to the wrong animals and i would say "no, silly - that's a (insert correct animal here)" and she would start laughing hysterically (which in turn made me laugh hard) - we did this over and over until our stomachs hurt from laughter. She is such a doll - i LOVE when she sincerely and genuinely laughs at something - i think it's precious. I hope her laugh always stays the same, it's one of my favorite things about her!

Is it NORMAL...

for a 2 year-old to know most of the songs from the Sound of Music and sing them constantly?
*Abbie LOVES the Sound of Music (she has danced to the piano music for most of her 2year old life) and she has seen parts of the movie maybe 2 or 3 times and now is obsessed with the songs. The other night after I got her to bed we heard her singing "16 going on 17, i take care of you" ...

for a 2 year-old to talk to her hands?
*Abbie talks to her hands all the time. She tells them "NO" and "Mine" and gets mad when one grabs something from the other - I think it's kind of funny, but is this kind of weird...

for a 2 year-old to want her Daddy over her mama ALL THE TIME?
*Abbie always wants Clark - every time she wakes up from a nap or in the morning she asks for her dad. If she ever gets an "owie" she wants her dad - to the point that she'll push me away or run from me...

2 year-olds are complicated wonderful little people!

Abbie loves the swings - thankfully the neighbors have some and they don't mind that we spend multiple hours a day on them!

Wow, it's been a while since I posted!
Between all having a cold at our house and me having lame dental work done we spent some time playing/sledding in the snow and now are enjoying the gorgeous sunshine! Hope it stays warm!I also had Abbie's picture taken a few weeks ago and I love how they turned out! you can see more here
