February 13 (or so we'll pretend)

Darn! Last night we had friends over until late so for some reason i spaced blogging. I'm mad because i've been super diligent to do my 14 days of LOVE. darn!

Today i love Snow White. weird i know, but Snow White is abbie's main obsession these days and anything that makes abbie happy makes me happy (cheesy, but true). So today in church i was talking to a family friend and she asked if we were going to be home tonight because her daughter was going to be dressing up as Snow White and visiting some of the little girls to bring them a valentine (sidenote: her daughter actually worked as Snow White in Disney World, so this is as real as it gets) ... When SW came abbie was ecstatic. She kept touching her and saying "snow white?" and she kept saying "Prince kiss?" haha.
I don't think i have ever seen her happier. She got to twirl with SW and she even got a kiss on the cheek from her. I have a feeling that we are going to be hearing A LOT about this visit for many weeks to come. Anyway, it was so much fun to see Abbie so thrilled about getting to meet SW ... a day i think we will both remember!

Today i love the sunshine ...
because Abbie and i were able to go for a walk for the first time in a long time. She wants to play outside so bad and i keep telling her "no" - but today i got talked into it and we had a great time out walking. Thanks to Abbie our neighbors now have little tracks all through the snow in their front yards! She was in heaven - it's amazing how something so small (me taking 20 minutes to focus ALL of my attention on a walk with abbie) could make her so happy. I'm looking forward to more sunshine and more walks
this isn't from today - but i LOVE this picture

i love family.

This afternoon Abbie was sitting on the potty and i was standing in the hall waiting for her (she likes her privacy) and she starts singing "i love mama he loves me, i love brian he loves me, i love chelsie he loves me, yesurry, i love grandpa he loves me, i love grandma he loves me..." my mom, sister chelsie and her husband brian, and my dad were in the other room and could hear her sweet little rendition of "we are a happy family" and we were all cracking up.
Later on we were singing the entire song (she gets a little stuck in the first verse and can't quite find her way out) and when we got to the end she sang so strong "we are happy family" and it was precious - later Chelsie and Brian left and she waved goodbye and said "bye family"
i am so blessed to have such a strong and incredible family (both mine and clark's) and i love that Abbie has such wonderful examples and friends in her familyAbbie's 1st Valentine's Day

Today i love magazines/catalogs. (lame i know) - but i REALLY do.
i love getting the mail and finding a magazine or catalog - the day is really great when there are multiple! haha, i'm a geek
yes, i'll admit i often purchase the smut magazines that are around the checkout stands (clark hates this about me) but i mostly like the following:

*Better Homes & Garden
*A Taste of Home
*Woman's Day
*All You
*Self
*Parenting
*Cookie (no longer exists)
*Boden & mini boden (love these catalogs)

hmmm, can't think of anymore at the moment
hooray for simple pleasures

Hmmm...
today was one of those days.
*Abbie wasn't feeling well
*Didn't make it into the shower
*Grouchy/stressed husband
*Stubbed my toes (hard)
*I ate junk most of the day
*Abbie gave me a bloody nose (no joke)
*Didn't make it to the gym
blah blah blah

So today i LOVE that tomorrow is a new day and that i get to try again

*sorry for the whining

i LOVE being a mom
Being a mother has by far been the most difficult and challenging thing I have done, but i honestly think it has been the most rewarding. Having abbie say "tanks mom" and "you're MY sweetheart" and "sleep good mama" makes me melt (and usually makes up for the naughtiness that is a 2 year-old)
these pictures are from yesterday ... i told her to do a "kissy face"
